To introduce the Tunable Side Branch Absorber to Market, the Southern Gas Association Gas Machinery Research Council (GMRC) and ACI Services Inc. (ACI) have completed a license agreement that authorizes ACI to develop and market products that incorporate GMRC’s patented tunable side branch absorber (TSBA) technology. Read more:

2012 was a good year for DOT Compliance Training at SGA. Our Content Guidance Committee (“CGC”) consisting of Garry Tripp, Energy Transfer, Clifton Phillips, Memphis Light Gas & Water, and Don McCoy, Chesapeake, helped us stay on top of the ever changing DOT regulations. With their guidance, we are updating the modules and should have them available by the end of the first quarter. PHMSA issued an advisory bulletin on January 30, 2013 to outline the specific timeframe operators should notify the National Response Center following a pipeline accident. This advisory bulletin is in result of a requirement in the Pipeline Safety, Regulatory Certainty, and Job Creation Act of 2011 signed in to law January 3, 2012.

Today marked the launch of the quarterly Best Practices Webinars, sponsored by the SGA Professional Development Committee.  Fourteen industry professionals, representing seven utility companies, joined Atmos, Scana, Alagasco and SGA to share and learn about using technology for collaboative learning.  To learn more about what other industry training professionals are doing, click here to play back the recorded webinar.
