    Workshop Scope

    This two half workshop takes you through the pipeline construction and inspection process—from a general overview of the einvironmental inspection program to revegetation activities after construction is complete. Attendees will gain an overall understanding of elements of a pipeline construction project and how the job of an environmental inspector fits inwith the overall inspection team.

    Workshop Goals

    • An overview of pipeline construction related activities
    • An understanding of environmental inspection related requirements for pipeline construction projects
    • Recognition of the importance of good construction and inspection practices
    • The fundamental knowledge you need to successful environmental compliance during construction of a pipeline or aboveground facility - including what is needed even before the construction equipment arrives at the construction site

    • Managers responsible for pipeline permitting and construction management
    • Personnel responsible for permitting pipeline projects

    The Relevance of this Training to Inspectors

    Pipeline construction projects can be complex for both seasoned inspectors and for those that are new to the world of pipeline inspection activities.  This workshop provides a forum for attendees to learn from experts in the field of pipeline construction, permitting and allows for an open dialogue to ask questions related to environmental inspection requirements.

    Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will better understand the overall construction process and how an environmental inspector fits within the overall construction inspection team.  This knowledge will allow the environmental inspector to better manage their responsibilities and how those responsibilities interact with other construction inspectors.
